be yourself, everyone else is taken

I"M BACCCK from Europe. OMG it was amazing!!!! I'll have to do a Europe post soon...been a bity lazy :)
Ben and I went to Taylors in the Swan Valley this weekend. It was such a pretty day and Taylors was the perfect setting. It's like a Art cafe, they have cute lights and laterns outside and being in the 'county' it is very rustic. Inside there was a fire and its just so cosy.
I loved the wallpaper, floral navy blue on white - I really want wallpaper like that in my house. Ben and I have been house hunting, no luck yet. But we are still on the prowl for a really cute character home with floorboards and cottage-like feel.
On the way back from breakfast we stopped at the honey store, we got the best honey water tastes like creamy soda.....but better. They also had macaron's there. Since seeing this French chef cooking them up on Poh's kitchen I've really wanted to try one. It wasn't what I expected but tasted really yummy! I must seek out more macarons!
I did some shopping at Sportsgirl, seeing as it's winter I've become a bit obsessed with scarves. I bought a nice snug wool black scarf, and a dressy moroon scarf. I also bought some cute fingerless gloves, they are so nice and warm. Oh I also bought some cute Pj's and a really cute teapot this weekend. I LOVE teapots and teacups. I think I have maybe 4 or 5 teapots and maybe 6 teacups, and plan on collecting lots more.

Europe in five days

I'm so excited I'm off to europe in 5 days! I've been doing lots of shopping for some europe outfits. It's more that likey to be cold and rainy, especially in switzerland so I've bought lots of winter clothes and some long cardi's so I can layer. My mum bought me these boots as an early birthday present, seeing as I'll be celebrating my birthday in Dubai. I'm sooo in love with them :) Basically going to live in them when I go away they are so comfy and the exact winter boot I was looking for. She also bought me some new black skinny jeans. High waist mavi, very good! Not all that comfortable right now, but when I wear them in they'll be all good. Below are some outfits I've put together for my trip
black mavi jeans, american apparel sweater, sportsgirl scarf, mintymeetsmunt boots, sportsgirl cheetah cardi, white slouch tee miss shop, sportsgirl scarf

black myer leggings and grey slouch tee, sportsgirl canvas anorak jacket

black leggings with grey tee, layered with american apparel hoodie and sportsgirl peacoat and forever new pink scarf

american apparel M tee layered with flannelette and blazer, I think I got the russian hat from sportsgirl
Very parisian stripe batwing jumper - myer

forever21 skirt and headband, forevernew tights and bf shirt, vintage stripe top

Most of my outfits are plain dark colours and I really like that at the moment. I'm going to try and stay away from bright colours for winter and go with black, greys and whites and just liven it up with different patterns and maybe some pastel colours.
I'll try and post some pictures when I'm away, everywhere should have wifi and most of the hotels we are staying in have free internet access. I'm not really looking forward to the 10 hour flight to dubai, but have some movies and books I can watch/read on the plane. I'm mainly excited to just get away from everything and go on a bit of an adventure, see how people live in different countries and to get a different perspective on life.

IN ORDER TO BE IRREPLACEABLE ONE MUST ALWAYS BE DIFFERENT

This is what I wore out the other night. I'm heading to europe in April and I keep thinking of what I should wear. I don't think it'll be snowing but I think it will be really cold and more than likely rain. Below are some inspiration photos of outfits that I really like for winter. These photos are from blogs

we do not remember days, we remember moments

I bought a canon 450D SLR this week. It's an awesome camera! I'm in love. Now i just need to play with it more so I know how to use it properly. But I'm very excited! Below are pics I took awhile ago. I bought the tule skirt and leopard print cardigan at Sportsgirl and the shoes are from Betts, the one piece is from american apparel.

I also attended a wedding on Friday, Ben's older brother wed and just had a small ceremony, it was nice and a good opportunity to use the camera. It kind of made me think about if I ever get married what I would want. I'm pretty indecisive but I think I want an outdoor wedding, jazz band, stylish designer dress (not really traditional) and lots of fairy lights and cocktails. This website is really interesting for weddings and engagement photo ideas http://greenweddingshoes.blogspot.com/ not that I'm getting married anytime soon!

nothings happens unless first a dream

More Diana lomo fun. Ben and I went to the beach the other week and I took some photos. I'm really happy with them, the lighting and everything looks cool. Diana = awesome. I gave Ben a polaroid camera ages ago and he has been saving the film but I made him use it the other day. I stole it from him the other day so I plan on taking lots of polaroids.
Below is what I wore out last night. Ben and I got pizza and ate it by the river then we went and saw avatar 3D. It was pretty awesome. Now I'm off to rockingham!!!! More beach fun

I bought a Diana mini lomo camera. It is very cute, light and kinda like a little toy. I like photography and like the effects lomo cameras have on an images. Here are some pics from my first roll of film, not a bad effort I think. But most of the pictures turned out blurry I think I need to be more steady and need to buy faster film. The Diana shoots square photos +half frames, so you can take two shots on the one slide.

I also recently purchased a rabbit ring. I love all things rabbity and I LOVE this ring. Unfortunately this is the second rabbit ring I bought as I lost the first one within one day :( I was very angry at myself. I couldn't...not have this ring so I went and bought it again.
I bought it from pigeonhole.com.au . This store is awesome and the staff are v friendly, I bought my Diana from there as well.

My friend also just came back from India and she bought me these bangles, so pretty!

New years eve was fun. I went to a friends and was playing around with sparklers with my camera. Fun fun. New years eve is suppose to be about bringing in a new year and I guess that's what I like about it. I feel like 2010 will bring a lot of change in my life and change for the better. I'm looking forward to this and I always write myself resolutions and try to keep to them. I know its a bit stupid but its a good way to motivate yourself.
Now I'm off to take more lomo photos!!!! Have an awesome weekend xo

Some recent purchases. L-R Johny Cash sunnies, American Apparel dress, stussy planet skirt, tulips I bought for Xmas, supre lace dress, kit nailpolish...I didnt buy the tree but thought it looked pretty it was taken in freo :)
I ended up buying a lot of presents for myself whilst christmas shopping. My favourite I would have to say is the skirt. I love the whole planet theme, it's so pretty and like the tie dye effect. I only just realised the sunnies said johny cash on them today. They are pretty cool, I wanted the ray bans like this style but ended up finding these in leedy for only $28, bargain. I'm sad xmas is over, but new years is coming so another event to look forward to and I feel 2010 will be a better year!!
